Kyle Shanahan will ‘live with the consequences’ of Super Bowl play-calling

It didn’t take long in Kyle Shanahan’s introductory news conference as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers for the topic of his last act in his previous job to come up.

The former Falcons offensive coordinator defended his much-criticized play-calling during Atlanta’s second-half Super Bowl 51 collapse against the Patriots, but acknowledged it hasn’t been easy to move on from the defeat.

The Vikings were a 27-yard field goal attempt away from defeating the Seahawks in their wild-card round meeting a year ago, but Walsh’s kick sailed wide left with 22 seconds remaining. NFL kickers had hit 189 of 191 field goals from 27 yards or shorter during the 2015 season.

Ever since, Walsh hasn’t been able to snap out of a funk. He missed four field goals and four extra points in eight games last season before Minnesota cut him.

In a twist, he’ll be in line to replace Hauschka, who has been one of the NFL’s more accurate kickers since joining the Seahawks in 2011.

Walsh, entering his fifth season, made the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2012 after setting an NFL record by going 10-for-10 on attempts of 50 yards or more. He still maintains an 84.2 field goal percentage through his career.

Magic Johnson’s first MVP award-winning season saw him average career highs in points per game (23.9) and player efficiency rating (27.0) while leading the NBA in offensive win shares (12.1). Bird led the league in minutes played, averaged a career-high in assists per game and became the first player in NBA history to shoot 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from three-point range and 90 percent on free throws for a full season. A sterling Finals MVP performance from Magic spurred the Lakers to a 4-2 series victory, in the third and final Cheap Jerseys Bike championship-round meeting between the two legends.

James Harrison seeking 2-year contract from Steelers as 39th birthday present

Tom Brady isn’t the only one who wants to play into his 40s.

That sounds crazy, but there is a realistic scenario in which Pryor could jump ahead of perennial Pro Bowlers such as Julio Jones, Larry Fitzgerald and Dez Bryant on the pay chart.

When the driver stopped to drop off the other two passengers and exited to collect payment, Parry then allegedly hit the driver in the head and tried to flee in the golf cart.

Officers later got a call of a hit-and-run and found the cart crashed into a gate.

Parry, a fifth-round draft pick from Stanford in Wholesale Jerseys Free Shipping 2015, was spotted by police walking drunk down the street and arrested.

The 6-2, 310-pound Parry has started every Colts game over the last two years and has 78 tackles with four sacks, three of which came last season.

A team that’s fully on board with Notre Dame’s DeShone Kizer is tough to find. Most like Watson, but it’s a matter of how high. Every team I’ve spoken with has Tribusky as one of its top two quarterbacks. Mahomes has his fans, too.

But Kizer is the one I think could fall on draft day, based on what I’ve heard and the minimal excitement around him. I’m still a fan, as is Optimum Scouting’s Derrik Klassen, but I’m not as bullish on Kizer being a first-rounder as I was just a few weeks ago.

Two passers that have similar teams interested: Pittsburgh’s Nathan Peterman, who had a fantastic Senior Bowl, and Miami’s Brad Kaaya, who has the most college experience of any junior passer and any top-four round projected quarterback. The Saints and Chiefs, for example, could jostle for these two on Day 2.

NFL Draft: Josh Harvey-Clemons, now a better player and person, remains a ‘country boy’

Cook’s inate ability to catch the ball is one aspect of his game that might separate him from other backs. Longtime wide receivers coach Jerry Sullivan, who recently retired after 25 years in the NFL, told Omnisport that Cook reminds him of Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell.

“The guy’s got the whole package,” Sullivan, who was most recently with the Jaguars from 2012-16, said of Cook. “He’s a great receiver out of the backfield, smart, instinctive. If you put him outside, he Cheap Retro Jerseys can catch.

“He’s a lot like Bell. When you put the guy outside, he’s not just a guy taking up space; he Cheap Reversible Jerseys can make something happen as a receiver.”

Like Bell, Cook was a first-team All-American in his final season of college and also has some off-field issues.

Cook will have another chance to impress on the field during the Florida State pro day scheduled for March 28.

Clady doesn’t come without concerns.

Maybe that deal will finally come for the four-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle after OTAs show teams what they’re working with. For now, it’s a little puzzling why he’s still available.

Clady doesn’t come without concerns. He’s on the wrong side of 30, has missed 37 games in the last four years, and had a significant drop-off in the quality of his play in 2016.

But there’s always a need for offensive linemen in the NFL, and Clady looks like one who can still contribute. He also would likely come cheap on a short-term deal.

Seattle didn’t sign Clady in March, but it could still use depth and help along the offensive line even after adding Luke Joeckel and Ethan Pocic. Clady could provide that.

With quarterbacks like Blaine Gabbert, Mark Sanchez, and EJ Manuel getting work, it’s clear that Kaepernick’s human rights protests during the playing of the national anthem in the 2016 season are the reason why teams are steering clear.

But Kaepernick isn’t alone. There are other well-known veterans still trying to find a job, and the reason they’re not on a team is pretty apparent: age.

“I know I’m getting up in my years, which is fine, but I still have plenty of years to play,” former Cleveland Browns tight end Gary Barnidge told SiriusXM Blitz on Monday. “As long as I get the opportunity, I think teams will have no problem with that. They’ll see that I’m still ready, because the first seven years of Make Cheap Jerseys Online my career, I never got an opportunity to start, so I didn’t have the wear and tear on my legs. I MLB Authentic Jerseys didn’t have any of that kind of stuff.”
